Centrum Badań Jakości spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością (CBJ sp. z o.o.)
in Lubin provides comprehensive services regarding performance of varied physicochemical and microbiological tests, analyses and measurements, along with collection and preparation of samples, performance of tests and development of results.
CBJ sp. z o.o. is one of the largest testing laboratories in the country, with a total of nearly five hundred employees. The Company has laboratories in Głogów, Legnica, Lubin and Polkowice. Its considerable testing potential, based on large, experienced staff and on measurement and analysis equipment that complies with the requirements of global standards, guarantees that tests are performed professionally and accurately and that our Customers’ expectations regarding implementation of new testing services are met.
For years the Company has been using and perfecting a certified Integrated Management System that conforms to the requirements of PN-EN ISO 9001. Furthermore, elements of an environmental management system, (PN-EN ISO 14001), an information security system (PN-ISO/IEC 27001) and an occupational health and safety management system (PN-N 18001) have been implemented.
CBJ sp. z o.o. has accreditation for over 600 test methods, including a considerable number of tests in the flexible scope, granted by the Polish Centre for Accreditation (PCA) – Scope of accreditation no. AB 412. Flexible scope makes it possible for us to present our Customers a comprehensive offer of accredited tests, promptly respond to changes in test methods and implement new ones.
Accredited methods pertain to:
- physicochemical tests and analyses (of mining and smelting materials of the copper industry, solid fuel, working environment, food, natural environment, emission and imission),
- microbiological tests and analyses (of food and water)
and to sampling for environmental tests.
PCA’s Certificate of Accreditation No. AB 412 confirms high technical competency of the Company’s laboratories, the reliability of results and compliance with the requirements of PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025.
In 2006 we signed a sub-licence agreement that entitles us to use the mark of ILAC-MRA (International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation Mutual Recognition Arrangement) together with the symbol of PCA’s accreditation. Test results included in reports bearing this mark are recognised in many countries all over the world (by signatories to the ILAC Mutual Recognition Arrangement).
Laboratories of CBJ sp. z o.o. use reference test methods specified in legal acts that are in effect in our country. Moreover, they regularly participate in proficiency testing programmes/interlaboratory comparisons organised by such entities as: LGC Standards Sp. z o.o. from Łomianki, Institute of Occupational Medicine in Łódź (as regards working environment), Institute for Chemical Processing of Coal in Zabrze or the National Institute of Hygiene (food, microbiology), obtaining positive results.
To improve its technical competencies and share experience, CBJ Sp. z o.o. works with many science & research units, such as the Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals from Gliwice, the Wrocław University of Technology, the AGH University of science and Technology from Cracow, the Cracow University of technology, and it continues to be a member of the “LABIOMEN” National Network of Supervised Laboratories, created by the Institute for Chemical Processing of Coal in Zabrze.
Between 2009 and 2011 the Company began work with testing laboratories in Canada and Sweden. This was to learn the latest organisational solutions and to share experience as regards testing of trace elements in pure copper, determination of carbon in copper concentrates and mineralogical analysis.
The laboratory of CBJ sp. z o.o. in Lubin has been authorised by the Chief Veterinary Surgeon to perform official tests in the field of food microbiology. It has also been authorised by a decision of the Voivodship Sanitary Inspector to test drinking water.
Throughout its operation the Company has been granted numerous certificates and awards that confirm the quality of its services and show the Company as a reliable partner, who performs its obligations promptly and with due diligence, who cares about its customers, the natural environment, its employees, as well as friendly atmosphere at work.
